Water works!

Atma Namaste,

The earth is a very mysterious creature. Nature has always been a profound source of inspiration, solace and healing for me.  The aspect of nature I choose to write about today is water. What does water mean to you? Is it something you use to wash, clean, drink, relax? What if I told you water was more than just another “thing” you use. We cannot live without water, literally, there would be disease and famine beyond anything we could survive. It is obvious to all humans that water is a basic necessity. I have observed people take water for granted, they mis-treat water and act like it is not alive.

How can water not be alive? It is a large part of you, most of who you are inside physically is water, 60% of the body is water, the brain and the heart are 73% water, the lungs are 83% water, the blood plasma is 90% water, skin is 64% water and even our bones are 31% water. We cannot live without consuming water. Water makes you happy, when you dream of escaping your stressful life, you dream of being by the ocean, on some beach resort or somewhere in nature, which thrives on water. Water helps us release our sadness through tears.

Water is alive, water has a consciousness to a certain degree, water is aware of how we feel towards her. She is aware that we blindly drink her and think nothing of her, she enters our bodies anyways and does what she is supposed to, helps us digest and excrete our food etc. What if we treated water better? What if we treated water the way we treat our loved ones? After all she is doing more for us than anyone else in our lives. You should talk to your water, you can be very appreciative for this glass of water, this shower, this bath, when we wash our dishes, clothes, car. You can say “I love you water, you are beautiful, thank you for doing wonderful things in my body, thank you for washing my body, thank you for bathing my baby, thank you for flushing my toilet.” By doing this you will improve the way water is working in your body, thereby improving your health and the condition of your body.

A good example is to look at babies, when we put babies in water they splash around with extreme excitement and joy, babies know water is amazing. They are in complete awe of this water you place them in, they love it! We must be like babies, water is fantastic!

These simple acts of appreciation and love will transform the way water does things for us, this is a form of blessing. We are essentially blessing our water before she does her job. Most of the water we get from the tap contains a lot of things that it really should not, when we give love and appreciation to water it will purify the water to a certain degree. If you think it sounds crazy well experiment with saying negative things to one glass of water and really wonderful things to another glass of water, keep them for a week and repeat this everyday. Observe what is happening to water with different forms of speech, or you could just completely neglect one glass and be really loving to the other glass. Observe what happens to the colour and quality of the neglected glass of water and what happens to the positively treated glass (you will have to keep each glass in seperate rooms). Which one will you want to drink at the end of the experiment?

When we surf, swim or do any water sports say thank you to the water for the wonderful experiences she allowed us to have, tell the water we love her. The activities we do in water is an honour and a privilege, not an entitlement. The fact that water allows us to enter, enjoy and embrace her is a gift she is giving us. Water gives us many fond memories. If we want to keep water happy doing wonderful things for us then we must love her and treat her with respect and appreciation.  Having a swim in the ocean or a salt bath is a form of healing. Water heals us, when we get a cut or wound, we have to wash it before we apply antibiotic or bandage it. Water washes away the bacteria and germs that might infect the wound. Water is phenomenal, the extent to which water nurtures and protects us is infinite! Why would we not take the time to show our appreciation for this essential part of us?

In Pranic Healing we put the diseased, dirty energy we take from the person’s body into a bioplasmic waste disposal unit, which is a bucket containing salt and water. The salt breaks down the dirty energy and the water absorbs it, which neutralises the energy. When I am healing a person or if I am using a salt water bucket to energetically clean a room I always ask the salt water to please cleanse the room or to please disintegrate the dirty energy I throw in the bucket. When I am finished I always thank the salt water for absorbing and disintegrating the dirty energy during the Pranic Healing session or after it has cleaned the room, then I flush it. Do not take for granted the work water is doing for you. Appreciate it, it’s hard work.

Water is unique and beautiful, there is nothing in this world like water, water brings us great joy, serenity and memories! Keep your drinking water in a re-usable glass or copper thermos, avoid buying plastic bottles of water. Before you take a sip say loving words to the water and humbly ask the water to do wonderful things in your body. What we are doing to our water on earth is traumatic, the state of the ocean is tragic, you can do your part by not using plastic, by being eco-conscious. When you love water you are loving a part of yourself after all.

Every little thing we do to appreciate the beauty and wonder of nature is a step towards realisation, we must be aware that there are so many elements working together to keep us alive!
